Ron is from Decatur, Georgia and joined the George Washington University in December 2015. Before joining the GW family, Ron earned his Bachelors of Arts in Sociology at Georgia State University and a Master of Education in College Student Affairs at the University of West Georgia. Ron has been working in Residence Life and Student Affairs for over 5 years at institutions such as Stony Brook University, Yale University, and Belmont University. In addition to his responsibilities for the Mount Vernon campus community, Ron advises some of GW's international and cultural based student organizations and works diligently, collaborating with campus partners as the co-lead of the GW Logistics & Volunteers team housed under the GW Transitions committee to ensure a successful Move-In & Move-Out process for students. Ron is excited to explore all of Washington, D.C. many wonderful attractions, restaurants and communities. Ron also loves to travel the world when he is not working hard for our students and has recently visited Trinidad, Thailand, South Africa, and Cuba to name a few.
