RA Selection

The Campus Living and Residential Education Team are looking for caring, relationship orientated, and dedicated student leaders to build community in our residence halls. This incredible leadership opportunity provides RAs with the ability to connect with residents, staff, and faculty at GW. RAs will be supported in this role with dedicated staff who are committed to their growth. RAs leave the position with skills that are highly desired by future employers including: crisis management, peer counseling, teamwork, project management, event planning, leadership, problem-solving, and stewardship. 

The 2020-2021 Resident Advisor Application will open on Monday November 4th at 9am. The application will close on Monday, December 2nd at noon. All interested applicants MUST attend at least one of our information sessions. There will also be a social hosted November 17th from 1pm to 2:30pm in District House B205 to meet and chat with Campus Living and Residential Education staff and current RAs. All applications will be reviewed prior to winter break. All applicants will receive an update on Friday, December 20th.

The role will require 20 hours of commitment per week. It is expected that Resident Advisors attend all training dates and meetings, serve scheduled on-call shifts, as well as maintain extended availability during hall openings, closings, and evenings.
