Start your #onlyatGW experience by being a part of GW’s newest pre-semester program and workshop series for incoming first-year students, LEAD (Leadership Exploration and Development) GW. This unique, once in a college-career experience will help you develop and apply your leadership ideas and skills. Participants will learn alongside a diverse group of peer from across the country. Returning GW students serve as guides and mentors, helping you to hone your skills as a leader and begin your transition to life as a Colonial.

You’ll begin your GW experience with a two and a half day pre-semester program engaging in small group activities and large group sessions. You'll also explore DC’s historic civic landmarks and their connections to greater leadership principles. Throughout the fall semester, you’ll further develop your leadership skills and build community during a weekly Excellence in Leadership Seminar workshop series designed just for you!

As a LEAD GW participant, you will:
     > Create new friendships before classes begin
     > Engage with the GW and DC community
     > Explore where your passions and skills fit in at GW
     > Launch your GW leadership story

Program fee is $100. Fee will be added to student bill. Program fee waivers may be available for individuals who demonstrate a financial need. Email [email protected] to request a waiver.

Space is limited and available on a first come, first served basis. Registration opens Monday, May 1 and will close on Friday, July 14 or when we reach capacity.
