Friday, November 8th marks the 3rd annual National First-Generation College Celebration when colleges and universities celebrate the success of first-generation college students, faculty, and staff. For the second year, we are excited to offer multiple events throughout First-Gen Week and we hope you'll learn and celebrate along side us. 


First Friday Dinner Tailgate with President LeBlanc

Kick off First-Gen Week with a First Friday Dinner Tailgate with President LeBlanc. Attire is casual (wear your buff and blue!). Spots are limited! RSVP required. View the event and RSVP here.  
 

First-Gen at the Men’s Basketball Game

Friday, November 1  |  7:00 pm  |  Smith Center
Following dinner, we will be heading to the first men's basketball game of the season so make sure to wear your buff and blue GW gear. If you are unable to make it to the dinner, feel free to join us at the game! As always, don't forget to bring a friend. Entry into the game is free with your GWorld!


Brunch on the Vern

Who doesn't love FREE brunch? Join First-Gen United for brunch at Pelham Commons in West Hall. For Foggy Bottom residents, FGU eboard members will be taking the 10:45am and 11am Vex to the Vern, so please join us. Space is limited. RSVP here.


Game Night in the First-Gen Affinity

Wednesday, November 6  |  7:00 pm  |  District House 7th Floor Affinity North
Come hang out in the First-Gen Affinity and play some games! Snacks will be provided! The event begins at 7pm, but feel free to drop by at any time. We hope to see you there!


First-Gen Celebration

Friday, November 8  |  11:30 am - 2:00 pm  |  3rd floor Marvin Center Lobby
November 8th is National First-Generation College Celebration! In collaboration with the Diversity Summit, we will be spreading awareness about the first-generation experience and celebrating first-gen students, faculty, and staff. We will have tables with a photo booth, treats, and more! Please stop by the table as you experience the Diversity Summit or are just walking through the Marvin Center. Stay tuned for more information on when we will be tabling!
